Clarence Felder’s long and distinguished acting career spans decades as a leading actor in films, television and Broadway, working with some of our greatest stars, directors and writers.

His film work includes The Last Boy Scout, Ruthless People, Playing For Time, The Hidden, After Hours, Amazing Grace & Chuck, The Seduction of Joe Tynan, and The Goodbye Girl, among many others.

Television credits include a two year run on ABC’s hit series Hooperman, plus guest starring on LA. Law, Crime Story, NYPD Blue, Kojack, Matlock, Dallas, Hill Street Blues, Alien Nation and Baywatch. TV movies include The Killing Floor, Blood & Orchids, and The Scarlet Letterand Mystery of The Morrow Castle.

Mr. Felder co-starred in ten productions on Broadway, performing with such stars as with Glenn Close, Christopher Walken, Derek Jacobi, Meryl Streep, Bill Hurt and Debbie Harry. His regional theatre performances include over 130 productions, including leading roles in most of Shakespeare’s plays.

A prolific writer, Felder has penned poetry, essays and plays about Mary Shelley, Beethoven and, of course, Captain Henry Felder. His play, “Captain Felder’s Cannon” was the inspiration for the feature motion picture, All For Liberty. With wife Chris Weatherhead, he founded the Actors Theatre of South Carolina www.actorstheatreofsc.org, and continues to write, direct and perform with the company.
